CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A Mason City man has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to methamphetamine charges.

Thirty-two-year-old Christopher Lee Evenson has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of pure meth and conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of pure meth.

The Mason City Globe-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1CXrBYS ) reports Evenson was sentenced Monday to 262 months on each count that will run concurrently. He must serve a 10-year term of supervised release once he finishes his prison sentence.

Evenson was arrested in August during a traffic stop. He was a passenger in a vehicle where a deputy found a large quantity of ice methamphetamine.
