WASHINGTON (AP) - The union representing Metro workers is hosting a discussion of safety on the transit network.

The event comes two months after an electrical malfunction on the subway led to the death of a passenger.

Metro’s interim general manager, Jack Requa, will lead the discussion along with the union president, Jackie Jeter. Several Metro employees are expected to appear on the panel Wednesday evening at New York Avenue Presbyterian Church in downtown Washington.
