ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York state conservation officials want to hear from hunters about duck season.

The state Department of Environmental Conservation this week invited hunters to submit recommendations to regional waterfowl hunter task forces for the dates of this fall’s duck hunting seasons.

State officials evaluate task force recommendations when they set in waterfowl seasons, so they want hunter input. Recommendations are due by April 8. Duck season dates are expected to be announced in June.

Contact information for task force members are listed on DEC’s website at www.dec.ny.gov . Comments also can be provided to DEC’s Bureau of Wildlife by mail, telephone or e-mail.
