COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A house fire in Colorado Springs has displaced three families and killed four dogs.

The Gazette (https://bit.ly/1GZd0d9) reports that the fire broke out Wednesday evening in a home in the eastern part of the city. The fire severely damaged the inside of the home and caused a portion of it to collapse. Nine people lived in the home but they weren’t injured.

Lt. Kriss Soppe told the newspaper that four of the families’ six dogs died in the fire.
