CINCINNATI (AP) - Ohio transportation authorities plan a rare midday full closure of a busy interstate.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says an Interstate 75 shutdown expected to last five to 10 minutes is set for 12:15 p.m. on Thursday. It will be at the northern end of what’s called the Lockland Split where the interstate divides around a village just north of Cincinnati. Officials say it will be between the 11.5- and 12.5-mile marks.

Officials say the closure is for demolition of a smoke stack in the former Stearns & Foster factory complex.

There have been repeated overnight closures during an ongoing construction project on I-75 in the Cincinnati area.
