DIXON, Ill. (AP) - Police say a 31-year-old woman burned to death in her apartment in northern Illinois after her clothes caught fire.

The Dixon Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1CdZUYp ) reports police responded to a 911 call around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday that a smoke alarm had been going off in an apartment for about 2 hours. Dixon Police Department says officers went inside and found Felicia Morris’ body.

Police believe Morris’ clothes caught fire while she was in the kitchen, and that she had tried to put out the fire by rolling on her living room floor. According to police, she had a physical disability and lived alone.

Authorities say Morris’ death appears accidental. Her apartment was not damaged.
