ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The remains of two of the four people found last weekend in Kenai, Alaska, have been identified as the adults in a missing family.

Kenai police say in a statement Thursday the remains were confirmed by the coroner to be Rebecca Adams and Brandon Jividen. Police presume the remains of the two children found are Adams’ daughters, Jaracca Hundley and Michelle Hundley, pending DNA confirmation.

The family has been missing since May.

The bodies were found within a half-mile of the family’s home Saturday after a person driving a vehicle on a trail spotted clothing and human remains.

Police have said little about the circumstances of their deaths, but noted a gun was found with the bodies. Police don’t anticipate releasing any more information until receiving the final coroner’s report.
