GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A father and son along with another man have pleaded not guilty to federal charges accusing them of conspiring to distribute more than 5 kilos of cocaine and 1 kilo of heroin in South Mississippi.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1CTvkFp ) a federal grand jury indicted Clifford Barnette Jones Sr., of Pasadena, California, his son, Clifford Barnette Jones Jr., of Roseville, Michigan, and Mark Anthony Williams Sr., of Harper Woods, Michigan, on one count each of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance and interstate travel in aid of racketeering enterprises along with two counts each of attempt to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

All three waived the reading of their indictments Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert H. Walker in Gulfport. They remain jailed.
