MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Police say a fight over a cinnamon bun has led to an attempted murder charge against a Myrtle Beach woman.

Media outlets report police were called to a wreck scene on Tuesday.

They say 34-year-old Amy Derepentigny threatened to run over a man if he stepped in front of her SUV. Officers say Derepentigny got into her Ford Expedition, drove toward the man and crashed into a fence.

The man got out of the way. He told officers the fight started at a store over not having enough money to buy a cinnamon bun.

Derepentigny faces charges including attempted murder and unlawful conduct toward a child because a teenager was in the car with her.

It wasn’t known if she had an attorney.
