HAMPTON BEACH, N.H. (AP) - Kids won’t need to bring their snow shovels for this weekend’s Easter egg hunt on Hampton Beach after state and local crews hauled off most of the remaining snow.

WMUR reports (https://bit.ly/1E6FRhW ) that snow wasn’t melting fast enough along the boulevard and in the parking lots, so New Hampshire Department of Transportation crews helped town and the state parks division remove snowbanks and giant mounds of snow.

The Easter egg hunt isn’t the only show in town this weekend. More than 2,000 tickets have been sold for a concert at the casino and marathon runners will be charging through the beach resort town as well.

State and local officials met Wednesday and agreed to team up Thursday to tackle the snow.
