BUELS GORE, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say shortly after clearing the scene of a car accident in snowy conditions, another accident happened in the same place.

In the first, a car rolled over at the top of Route 17 in the town of Buels Gore at about 4:50 p.m. Thursday. Heavy snow was falling at the time. The driver said as he crested a hill, he felt his car begin to slide on the snow-covered road. It slid downhill and up onto a snowbank, rolling over. The driver was uninjured.

About 45 minutes later, a driver with a trailer carrying a snowmobile jackknifed across both lanes of travel and slid backwards. The vehicles blocked both lanes of travel. The driver wasn’t hurt. Route 17 was closed for several hours.
