BEND, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police say a Washington state man died after the pickup truck he was driving on U.S. Highway 97 south of Bend, Oregon, collided with an SUV.

Both vehicles ran off the highway, rolling several times and hitting trees early Thursday.

Sgt. Cari Boyd says 76-year-old Zeke Hacker of Clayton, Washington, north of Spokane, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the SUV was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
