OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - A federal judge has dismissed the appeal of a man sentenced to 10 years in prison for trying to entice a 15-year-old for sex.

Damion Lundy was convicted in 2010 of using the Internet and cellphone text messaging to try to persuade a minor to have sex with him. Court records show that the girl with whom Lundy was communicating was an undercover Lee County sheriff’s deputy. Lundy was arrested in Tupelo when he arrived to meet the girl.

WTVA-TV in Tupelo reports (https://bit.ly/1ABiEN2 ) Lundy argues in his latest appeal that an expert would have testified that chat transcripts, emails and communications could have been manipulated.

On Monday, a federal judge says there is no evidence that such testimony would have persuaded a jury of Lundy’s innocence.
