UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A coroner has released the name of a man who died after his vehicle crashed into a southwestern Pennsylvania beauty salon, possibly because of a heart-related issue.

Fayette County Coroner Dr. Phillip Reilly says the dead man was 61-year-old Keith Saunders, of Uniontown.

Uniontown police say nobody else was hurt in the crash at Suzzie Jo’s Beauty Salon about 4:15 p.m. Monday. The crash destroyed the storefront.

Saunders was driving a Jeep Compass and was pronounced dead a short time later at Uniontown Hospital.

Police say the vehicle was stopped at a red light before it suddenly sped forward, hitting another vehicle before smashing into the salon.

The coroner says the case is being treated as a cardiac death, with a final ruling pending toxicology tests.

Uniontown is about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh.
