YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Not quite shorts and T-shirts weather, Michigan’s temperatures have bolted out of the deep freeze and jumped as high as the mid-30s.

Tuesday’s warm-up follows record-setting cold weather in many parts of Michigan for February.

The National Weather Service says the temperature reached 35 degrees in Ypsilanti and 34 in many parts of the Lower Peninsula on Tuesday afternoon.

Sleet and snow have made driving hazardous in much of lower Michigan, with many crashes.

Numerous accidents are reported in Ingham County, and The Flint Journal reports multiple crashes in Genesee County.

The Ann Arbor News says at least 10 crashes were reported in Washtenaw County.
