SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Bond has been set at $100,000 for a driver accused of manslaughter in a fatal car crash in San Tan Valley.

Joseph Robert Wilson had his initial court appearance Tuesday.

The 21-year-old Wilson was arrested early Monday and also jailed on suspicion of bribery and false reporting to a law enforcement agency.

Authorities say the body of a 27-year-old woman was found in a burned-our car frame following the fiery high-speed crash Sunday night. Her name hasn’t been released yet.

Pinal County Sheriff’s officials say Wilson initially gave a fake name because he thought there was a warrant out of Texas for his arrest.

They say Wilson then allegedly tried to give a wad of cash to a deputy.

Wilson didn’t have an attorney as of Tuesday afternoon.
