MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The honors have kept coming for Minnesota sophomore center Amanda Zahui B (ZOW’-ee bee).

Zahui B. was named Tuesday as one of 10 finalists for the Naismith Trophy, given to the best player in women’s college basketball. The winner will be announced April 6.

Zahui B. was also picked by media covering the conference as the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, the fourth player in Gophers history to win the award. She was the only unanimous choice by both the coaches and media panels for the All-Big Ten first team.

Zahui B. is averaging 18.5 points, 12.7 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game.

The Gophers have the sixth seed for the Big Ten tournament and play Thursday against the winner of the Illinois-Nebraska game the night before.
