ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - Two brothers have been accused of trespassing and other charges after police said they forced their way into a building, trying to find someone who owed them money.

Police responded to a 911 call that the men had entered a St. Johnsbury building and hit someone. They said the brothers were looking for someone else, but that person was not there. The two ended up fighting each other and they caused damage to a kitchen stove.

Police arrested 39-year-old Howard Matheson and 43-year-old Russell Matheson of St. Johnsbury. The two are charged with unlawful mischief and false information, in addition to trespassing. They are scheduled to appear in court April 20; it couldn’t be verified immediately if they had lawyers.
