RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The Great American Conference has announced the league’s weekly awards for the ninth week of the 2015 baseball season.

The conference announced Monday that Henderson State’s Hunter Mayall captured the Player of the Week award and Arkansas-Monticello’s Austin Braddock claimed the Pitcher of the Week honor.

Mayall helped push Henderson State back into second place in the GAC standings as he led the Reddies to a sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Braddock made two starts against GAC competition. On Monday, he defeated Ouachita Baptist by striking out a career-high 10 batters and had an 8-1 win against defending GAC regular-season champion Arkansas Tech.
