CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The city of Casper might soon allow people to keep beehives on their property.

This is the second time the issue has been before the Casper City Council in recent years. The measure failed on a 5-4 vote in 2013.

Council members this time around gave initial approval to the measure 7-2.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1G8Z81w) two council members remain concerned about the safety of any neighbors who are seriously allergic to bee stings.

Tory Cutrell with Metro Animal Control says beekeeping doesn’t seem to have raised problems in other Wyoming cities.
