SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls man who was allegedly robbed of a backpack containing drugs and money is facing charges after he scuffled with police.

Police say 29-year-old Matthew Buczowski and two other people were sitting in an apartment Sunday when four men entered, pulled out handguns and demanded cash and drugs. Police say they fled with Buczowski’s backpack.

The Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports (https://argusne.ws/1CpYpGB) that Buczowski chased the men and threw an object that cracked the windshield of a nearby vehicle, prompting a call to police. Authorities say Buczowski first ran from police and then wrestled with them as he was being handcuffed.

Buczowski faces five charges, including possession of marijuana.

The men accused of robbing Buczowski have not been apprehended.

Court documents do not list a lawyer for Buczowski.
