FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - Police in northeast Georgia are working to identify a partial human skeleton that was found in the woods.

Flowery Branch Police Chief David Spillers tells The Times of Gainesville (https://bit.ly/1BK8gV2 ) the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in examining the skeleton that was found Sunday afternoon. Spillers says it’s unclear whether foul play was a factor in the person’s death and it’s unclear how long the body may have been in the woods.

Spillers says some personal belongings were found near the skeleton but authorities are working to contact the person’s relatives.
