STERLING, Colo. (AP) - Two people escaped injury when the small plane they were in went off the runway while landing at Sterling Municipal Airport.

City Manager Don Saling tells the Sterling Journal-Advocate (https://bit.ly/1BJNvYJ ) the pilot and a passenger were returning from a trip to Wyoming on Sunday night and tried to land with a flat front tire. The plane went off the runway and the propeller hit the ground.

Photographs were taken of the accident scene to be sent to the National Transportation Safety Board, but Saling says he doesn’t anticipate an in-depth investigation because no one was injured.
