PHOENIX (AP) - A former Sun City pediatrician has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for distributing child pornography.

Federal prosecutors announced Tuesday that 44-year-old Emilio Luna also will be on lifetime supervised release after serving his prison term.

In addition, prosecutors say Luna will be required to register as a sex offender and is prohibited from working as a pediatrician.

They say Luna previously pleaded guilty on two counts of distribution of child pornography while he was a practicing pediatrician.

Luna was indicted in 2010 on five counts of distribution of child pornography after investigators say he used a file-sharing website to share about 10,000 images depicting sexually explicit photos of children.
