JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - A 58-year-old Jackson woman has died after collapsing during the alpine skiing portion of a fundraising event

The Bonneville County coroner’s office believes Karen Oatey died Sunday of a cerebral aneurism.

Ski patrollers at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort saw Oatey collapse shortly before 8:30 a.m. Saturday during the first leg of the Pole Pedal Paddle event. Resort spokeswoman Anna Cole says Oatey had no pulse.

Patrollers performed CPR and Oatey was taken to a clinic in Teton Village before being flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Hospital spokeswoman Nathan Miller tells the Jackson Hole News & Guide (https://bit.ly/1Mv9wG8 ) that Oatey died Sunday evening.
