KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - Kennesaw State University is preparing to host a three-day conference on drug addiction in young people.

Officials say the school’s Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery is hosting the Pathways to Understanding national conference April 8-10.

Organizers say the three-day event is part of a national series of discussions focusing on the neuroscience of addiction, treatment and recovery. Officials say speakers from Emory, the University of Georgia and the University of South Carolina are also expected to participate in the event.

The conference is being held at KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
