RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - Businesses that sell snowmobiles, motorcycles and other recreational vehicles say they’re feeling the effects of low oil prices.

Oil prices down around half what they were a year ago are causing petroleum companies to cut back on drilling in Wyoming and elsewhere.

Workers in the oil industry are taking pay cuts, getting laid off or having to move.

Dawn Rohn manages Wild West Power Sports in Riverton. She says when times in the oil and gas industry are good, oilfield workers can afford to make big purchases.

Lately her business is in a slump. She tells The Riverton Ranger (https://www.dailyranger.com) she’s had to lay off one employee and is taking a pay cut herself.
