NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The National Weather Service says strong to severe thunderstorms with large hail and high winds are possible across Oklahoma and Arkansas.

The weather services says the storms are expected to start Tuesday afternoon and could produce golf ball-sized hail and winds of up to 65 miles per hour. There could also be frequent cloud-to-ground lightning with the storms.

The storms are expected generally from southwestern Oklahoma into western Arkansas.

Another round of strong storms is possible on Thursday. The weather service says a cold front is expected to develop in northern Oklahoma and move southeasterly to enter Arkansas, again bringing large hail and strong winds to the two states.
