ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A St. Paul father is charged with child endangerment after his 3-year-old son found the man’s handgun and fired it into a neighbor’s house.

Thirty-two-year-old Washington Yaj Yig Vue was charged Tuesday in Ramsey County.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1BT36vr) reports the accidental shooting happened Jan. 17. No one was hurt.

According to the complaint, Vue told police he was cleaning his handgun that evening when he left the loaded gun on his bed and went to get cleaning supplies.

Vue was in the basement when he heard gunfire. He ran back to the bedroom and found his son had picked up the gun and fired it into the wall.

A neighbor contacted police after finding a bullet hole in his siding.
