LORDSBURG, N.M. (AP) - Federal officials say Border Patrol agents recently seized more than $1 million worth of marijuana in southwestern New Mexico.

KVIA-TV in El Paso reports (https://goo.gl/rCpYyF) that agents found the drugs after spotting a Ford F-350 driving from the Bootheel south of Lordsburg.

Authorities say Mexican nationals 27-year-old Luis Carlos Luna Marquez and 41-year-old Luis Arturo Enriquez Espinoza were arrested after attempting to flee.

Officials say agents searched the truck and found 1,607 pounds of marijuana, valued at more than $1.2 million.

Authorities say the truck was reported stolen out of Tucson, Arizona.

It was not known if the two men had attorneys.
