LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) - An autopsy showed that a Longview woman whose body was found by her roommate was killed by blows to the head.

The Cowlitz County coroner’s office says 29-year-old Alisha Ann McLeod died Sunday shortly before her roommate returned home.

The Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/17QZexi ) a community meeting with grief counselors was scheduled Wednesday afternoon at a Goodwill center, hosted by the Southwest Washington chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness. Social worker Daryn Nelson says McLeod was involved in the recovery community and the meeting would help others share how to remain in drug recovery.

A 36-year-old man who sublet his apartment to McLeod and her roommate was arrested and jailed for investigation of murder, burglary and sexually violating human remains.

Lucas Rasmussen is scheduled for a bail hearing Thursday.
