GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A federal judge has sentenced a woman to prison for having a package of meth shipped to her Gulfport home from Las Vegas for distribution in Harrison County.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1Nfw3EI ) 29-year-old Hoan My Pham received a prison term of seven years and eight months Monday.

U.S. District Court Judge Louis Guirola Jr. fined her $3,000 and ordered her to participate in a 500-hour substance-abuse treatment program. He also ordered three years of probation.

Prosecutors say a package with 15 grams of meth mailed to Pham was intercepted by the U.S. Postal Service on Feb. 16, 2014.

A multi-count indictment filed the next month alleged Pham and others had conspired to distribute meth in Harrison County since 2012. Pham has been in custody since her arrest in October.
