CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The state House of Representatives has killed a bill that would have increased lawmakers’ pay.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1tiydcJ ) the original version of the Senate bill would have raised lawmakers’ daily pay from $150 to $175 starting in 2019. But the House this week tried to increase the pay by only $5 a day while raising the per diem for lawmakers.

In the final reading, the bill failed 45-14, with one lawmaker excused.

It failed again 30-29, with one lawmaker excused, when it was brought up for reconsideration later Wednesday.
