GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a 38-year-old inmate who died in her cell at the Jefferson County jail while awaiting treatment for an illness.

Coroner Dan Pruett identified the woman Wednesday as Jennifer Lobato, but he did not say how she died.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1BJ3bjQ ) Lobato was arrested Sunday for allegedly shoplifting with her 16-year-old son at a Lakewood clothing store. She was booked into jail on charges of theft, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, false reporting and violating her parole.

On Monday, she said she felt ill and was scheduled to be seen during the routine medical rounds that evening. Investigators say her cellmate noticed Lobato was not breathing at about 7:15 p.m., and attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.
