LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A Logan County man has been ordered to serve 15 years in prison in the 2013 shooting death of a western Arkansas man.

Court records show 53-year-old Brett Bodine was sentenced to 20 years in prison but five years were suspended as part of a plea agreement with the state.

A first-degree murder charge against Bodine in the death of 33-year-old Joseph Stapleton of Paris was dismissed. Bodine instead pleaded guilty to felony hindering apprehension or prosecution.

Bodine’s 54-year-old brother, Harry Bodine, was convicted of first-degree murder and hindering apprehension or prosecution in Stapleton’s death. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1FVEVtM ) reports the brothers went to talk to Stapleton at his home because they were upset he hit his father.
