DOVER, Del. (AP) - Dover police say a traffic stop and pursuit led to a heroin arrest.

Officers tried to stop a Jeep Liberty near the intersection of martin Luther King Boulevard and River Road on Tuesday afternoon, but police say the driver refused to stop and fled toward the Capital Green development.

The driver headed toward the rear of Admiral Tire and began to flee on foot. Police say officers caught up with him after a short foot chase and found that he had 641 bags of heroin packaged for sale.

Police say they have charged 26-year-old Tarae Ingram of Dover with heroin possession, reckless driving and other offenses. He is being held on more than $71,000 secured bond.
