ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) - Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum says she will run for re-election.

The Daily Astorian (https://bit.ly/1Eh0Uy1) reports she gave a speech at a community center forum on Tuesday night and then announced her intention.

Rosenblum, a Democrat, was elected in 2012. She took office a few months early when her predecessor, John Kroger, resigned, and John Kitzhaber, then governor, appointed her.

She is a former federal prosecutor and state trial and appellate judge. She is the first woman attorney general in Oregon.
