CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia lawmakers are trying to keep alive pushes to bring Uber ridesharing to the state and overhaul the campaign finance system.

Wednesday marks crossover day in the 60-day legislative session. It’s the last day to advance policy bills out of at least one chamber.

The Republican-led Legislature has several proposals that need passage Wednesday to stay in play.

The Senate wants to churn out a major campaign finance reform measure, along with another bill to let Uber operate in the state.

The state’s 60-day legislative session wraps up March 14.
