CHINO, Calif. (AP) - A woman suffered burns in a Southern California house fire and firefighters rescued two dogs.

The Chino Valley Fire District says the fire erupted Wednesday morning on Falcon Place in Chino, starting in a rear patio area of the single-family structure and extending into the attic.

A district statement says a woman in her 20s suffered burns to 5 percent of her body and was taken in stable condition to a hospital.

Firefighters removed two dogs from the home and gave them oxygen.

The fire’s cause is under investigation.
