ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - The N.C. Highway Patrol says a 1-year-old girl who was among three people hurt when the car they were in collided with a mini-bus has died.

The patrol told the Asheville Citizen-Times (https://avlne.ws/1M8i9CI ) that Raegan Emanuel died Wednesday night at Mission Hospital,

According to the patrol, the car the child was riding in crashed into a YMCA mini-bus carrying students to an after-school program on Wednesday. Three adults who were in the car, including the child’s mother, 20-year-old Jaydrian Ledbetter, were transported to Mission. Their conditions were not immediately available.

Ledbetter was driving the car.

The patrol said none of the three elementary school children on the YMCA bus was hurt, but a YMCA officials said the bus driver suffered scrapes and had some soreness.
