GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities say three people were killed and a 2-year-old child was injured in a head-on crash near Midwest.

The Gillette News Record reports (https://bit.ly/1H39sa6 ) 28-year-old Dustin Jutting and 29-year-old Jennifer Griffith, both of Wright, were headed north on Wyoming 259 when they were hit by another car Monday. The driver of the other car, 51-year-old Scott Burgess, of Mills, had lost control of his vehicle on the snow-packed highway.

He and Jutting died at the scene, and Griffith died at a hospital in Casper. A child in Jutting and Griffith’s car suffered minor injuries.

The accident marks the 15th, 16th and 17th fatalities on Wyoming highways so far this year.
