RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 25-year-old Reno man who held up the same gas station clerk on consecutive nights has been sentenced to up to 50 years in prison.

The robberies were among four Tony Cunningham was convicted of last year.

Two were committed with a deadly weapon. One victim was elderly.

Washoe District Judge Patrick Flanagan sentenced Cunningham Tuesday. He’ll be eligible for parole in 16 years.

Police say Cunningham displayed the butt of a gun to a Stead gas station clerk last Jan. 22 when he and an accomplice stole a case of beer and cigarettes.

The next night, police say he robbed the same clerk with two accomplices who were armed with a rifle and a bowie knife.

Cunningham also robbed two Sparks convenience stores about a week apart last March.
