BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Officials at Buffalo’s First Niagara Center say they expect upward of 100,000 people to pass through the doors of the downtown arena for the six shows Garth Brooks will perform over four nights.

The country music megastar kicks off the Buffalo stop on his world tour with Trisha Yearwood with a show at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. He’ll do two shows each on Friday and Saturday nights, followed by another show Sunday night.

Mike Gilbert is vice president of community and public relations for the Buffalo Sabres, who play at the arena. He tells WGRZ-TV (https://on.wgrz.com/1zLXOui ) that a total of about 100,000 fans are expected to attend the shows.

Brooks started his tour in suburban Chicago last September after more than a decade spent in semi-retirement to raise his three daughters in Oklahoma.
