ADELANTO, Calif. (AP) - Deputies serving a search warrant in San Bernardino County shot two dogs before seizing drugs and an assault rifle and arresting a 52-year-old woman.

The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (https://bit.ly/1BLaFCM) says a deputy was bit by one of the pit bulls but not seriously injured Wednesday at the home in Adelanto.

Authorities say deputies found a substantial amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a stolen AR-15 rifle.

Fifty-two-year-old Rebecca Medina was arrested on suspicion of possessing meth with the intent to sell. She’s being held on $50,000 bail. It wasn’t immediately known if she has a lawyer.

Sheriff’s officials say deputies shot the dogs after residents couldn’t control the animals.
