BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A former truck driver has been convicted of transporting children for sex.

A federal jury in Buffalo Wednesday found 50-year-old David Vickers guilty after a trial that saw four victims take the stand.

U.S. Attorney William Hochul (HOH’-kuhl) says Vickers abused numerous children over a period of nearly 25 years.

Hochul’s office says Vickers drove victims in his truck and repeatedly abused them while making deliveries in Canada, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Prosecutors say he also took victims to a bed and breakfast he operated on Seneca Lake to gain their trust and gave them alcohol, cigarettes, toys and access to ATVs.

He faces up to life in prison when he’s sentenced in June.
