PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - A 27-year-old Gautier woman who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 2013 killing of her husband is scheduled for sentencing Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court.

Krystal Dawn Kersey admitted she ran over 25-year-old Justin Gary Stork with her car in June 2013 at River Bend Apartments in Gautier. Authorities say Stork was pinned between Kersey’s car and a tree and was dragged a distance after he was struck.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1Gn2LlE ) the couple had been married two months.

Kersey failed to show up at her trial in October. She was out of jail on a $100,000 bond.

Authorities found her Oct. 10 in Rio Grande City, Texas, near the Mexican border, with her two children.
