ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A lack of snow is keeping state officials from opening Hatcher Pass to motorized vehicles.

Anchorage television station KTUU (https://is.gd/n7JEnl) reports the area has not been open this season to snowmobiles.

Rangers say Hatcher Pass currently has less than 3 feet of snow. The area typically has about 10- to 12 feet of snow during winter.
