LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A man has been shot and killed by law enforcement outside a hotel in north Lincoln.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports (https://bit.ly/1zQdqNx ) an officer shot 34-year-old Tyson Damian Hubbard shortly before 10:45 a.m. Thursday while trying to serve an arrest warrant at a Motel 6. Hubbard was taken around 11:30 a.m. to a Lincoln hospital, where he died.

Lancaster County Chief Deputy Sheriff Jeff Bliemeister told the Journal Star that three law-enforcement agencies, including the Lincoln Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol, were involved in the incident. He declined to name the officers involved.

Sheriff Terry Wagner says Hubbard resisted arrest as he got into a vehicle and was shot. He says a handgun was found in the vehicle, but wouldn’t say whether Hubbard was reaching for the weapon.
