ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Despite a winter storm in the mid-Atlantic region, the Maryland General Assembly is open.

The state’s liberal leave was in effect as snow fell Thursday and employees were advised to consider their own safety when determining whether to report to work.

The Senate and House of Delegates are still scheduled to hold floor sessions starting at 10 a.m.

All Senate and House committee meetings are expected to go on as scheduled.
