HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - A mistrial has been declared in the capital murder trial of Daylon Waldrop in Forrest County Circuit Court.

The Hattiesburg American reports (https://hatne.ws/1Gn4hUY ) the jury deadlocked Wednesday on all three charges: capital murder, conspiracy and kidnapping.

Waldrop is charged in the 2013 shooting death of Robert Williams Jr. at his home in Hattiesburg.

Judge Robert Helfrich ordered a new trial date to be set by the end of the week.

Waldrop will remain in custody at the Forrest County Jail.
